Who am I? I have a long, philosophical, existential, and somewhat angsty answer to that question, if you really want to know, but the short answer is:
I’m the one who makes your message happen.
I understand what you’re trying to say, even when you can’t find the words yourself–and I can get everyone else to understand it, too.
My background is both wide and deep, but it is ultimately all about communication, using the touchstones of education, content, and leadership. That means you can be sure that my work will get your message across effectively and powerfully.

Mission
Our mission is to empower small businesses (including solopreneurs, artists, freelancers, and independent academics) level-up their messaging so that they can achieve their goals for growth and success.
Vision
The vision at Zeno Effect Media is to become a driving force in the small business community of the south coast (Ventura County, the Santa Clarita Valley, the San Fernando Valley, Santa Barbara County, and beyond), supporting and pushing the growth, influence, and affluence of the entire region through improved communication of all kinds.

Writing Experience
I’m a well-rounded writer with content experience in both academia and the real world. My writing credits run the gamut from blog posts to white papers to reviews to reports. I’ve written marketing copy, resumes, poetry, and technical manuals. There’s a master’s thesis, a doctoral dissertation, a composition textbook, and a traditionally-published non-fiction book in there, too, and I’ve been an editor, reader, and reviewer of works from novels to software manuals.
Let’s just sum it up by saying that I speak your language. Together, we will make your voice and message accessible to any audience.

Teaching and Coaching Experience
I’ve been doing professional development in higher education and in business for over a decade. In my case, “professional development” or coaching has taken many forms, including:
- One-on-one coaching, mentoring, and tutoring
- Small- and large-group workshops, seminars, and classes
- Panel and round table discussions
- Full-scale, multisession local, regional, and national conferences
- Institutional change management and innovation
- Organizational leadership and leadership training
- In-person, online, and hybrid delivery of training
I have also taught remedial and college-level reading, writing, and literature courses at universities and colleges.
